Woolacombe Beach is a short observational film capturing the rhythm and atmosphere of the North Devon coastline. The piece focuses on waves, weather, movement and the relationship between the beach and the surrounding landscape.
Rather than presenting the location as a conventional travel film, the edit uses changing scale, natural movement and environmental detail to create a quieter sense of place.

Creative Approach
The film was shaped around the natural rhythm of the coastline, using wider views alongside closer observations of water, texture and movement. Camera movement was kept restrained, allowing the landscape and changing conditions to create much of the visual energy.

Rhythm
Wave movement and repeating foam patterns create a natural visual pulse.
Perspective
An elevated viewpoint reveals the scale and shape of the coastline.
Atmosphere
Mist, distance and muted colour give the coastline a quiet, immersive mood.
