Laura James: Lighting Launch was developed in response to a Shoot Producer interview brief for the launch of the brand’s largest contemporary lighting collection.
The task was to plan a two day lifestyle photography and video shoot within a £35,000 budget and six week delivery window, producing assets for web, social media, email marketing, paid advertising and print.
My proposal covered the full production process, from initial planning and budget allocation through crew, locations, product logistics, scheduling, contingency planning, stakeholder communication and final asset delivery.
Production Approach
The approach was built around balancing premium visual output with commercial control. Every production decision needed to support the launch creatively while remaining realistic within the available budget, schedule and two day shoot window.
The plan therefore focused on early decision making, clear ownership, careful product handling, efficient use of crew and locations, and a structured workflow from pre production through final delivery.

Six Week Plan
Pre production, logistics, shoot days and post production are mapped across the full delivery window.

Budget Management
The £35,000 budget is allocated across crew, locations, styling, equipment, post production, contingency and welfare.

Scheduling & Pace
Photography, video and product preparation are coordinated around changing light and efficient use of the shoot day.

Risk & Contingency
Backup products, weather planning, alternative crew options and budget priorities protect the production when circumstances change.
